The National Library of Armenia is a national research center for library and information sciences, and bibliographyic work. National Library of Armenia is the world’s largest repository of Armenian printed materials. The rich collection of the National Library features the first printed book in Armenian, “Urbatakirk” (Book of Fridays, 1512, Venice), the first journal, “Aztarar” (1794, Madras), the first printed map, “Universal World” (1695, Amsterdam).
